Welcoming a new Head Coach to the Gulls

The Gulls are excited to announce that Robert Barrett will be joining as the Head Coach for the upcoming 2022/23 season. 

 

Robert grew up in St. John’s, Newfoundland where he played AAA hockey, before playing seven years in the Newfoundland Senior hockey league. 

 

Robert brings experience and a wealth of knowledge to the Gulls program from his years coaching at the U18 AAA and U15 AAA levels. In addition to this experience, Robert has coached various teams, ranging from U14 to U16, of Newfoundland’s High-Performance program.

 

Robert looks forward to continuing the tradition of success in player development that is the foundation of the Gulls program.

The GULLS finish the regular season off with in 2nd place, drawing the Joneljim Cougars for a best 2 of 3 series starting this weekend! The winner of the series secures a spot in the NSMBHL Provincial Championship - March 12-15 in Antigonish.

WEEKEND RECAP - JAN 25 & 26 2020

The GULLS hit the road this past weekend for a pair of away games. First up, the team travelled down to Barrington to face the South Shore Lumberjacks. An exciting game from start to finish, opened up in the 3rd and saw your GULLS come out with the W! POG honors go out to Cooper Flemming with a fantastic effort in net! (No picture available)

GULLS @ Pro Hockey Life Harbour Storm

For their 3rd meeting of the season, the GULLS look to go 3-0 against the Harbour Storm. Once again, a very physical game ended in a 4-4 tie after regulation. With OT solving nothing, we were able to capitalize in the shootout to earn the extra point and get the W! The Peptol Bismol Goring Lid of Fame belongs to Callum Aucoin for this game!
