HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY: Riverview Ravens use four-goal first period to beat Memorial Marauders on Friday

COXHEATH, N.S. – The Riverview Ravens took an early lead and never looked back in Cape Breton High School Hockey League action at the Cape Breton County Recreation Centre on Friday.
Alex MacDonald, Ayden Ball, Matthew Burke and Nick Lawrence each had a goal and an assist while Ty MacDonald and Gavin Rector added single markers for the Ravens.
Jackson Gerrow had the lone goal for the Marauders.
Riverview’s Baxter Lawrence made 13 saves. Memorial’s Brighton Hardy stopped 21 of 27 shots.
High school hockey league action continues on Sunday when the Glace Bay Panthers host the Sydney Academy Wildcats at 7 p.m. at Miners Forum in Glace Bay.
