Snow’s hat trick leads Glace Bay Panthers to playoff win over Sydney Academy Sunday
Memorial and Glace Bay top the playoff standings after opening weekend
GLACE BAY, N.S. —
Logan Snow’s three-goal performance helped the Glace Bay Panthers defeat the Sydney Academy Wildcats in Cape Breton High School Hockey League playoff action at the Miners Forum on Sunday.
Along with finding the back of the net, Snow also recorded two assists, capping off the night with five points and the playoff lead.
Connor MacIntyre, Adam Hicks, Jarrett Hicks and Jonathan Gallant added single markers for the Panthers (1-0-0-0).
Ty Axworthy and Graham Basque replied with goals for Sydney Academy (0-1-0-0).
Glace Bay’s Owen Coombes made 14 saves. Sydney Academy’s Daniel MacGillivary stopped 29 of 36 shots.
The Cape Breton High School Hockey League playoff double round robin continues on Wednesday when Sydney Academy hosts Riverview at 7 p.m. at the Membertou Sport and Wellness Centre.
