HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY: Glace Bay Panthers double Memorial Marauders on the road on Thursday

NORTH SYDNEY, N.S. – The Glace Bay Panthers added to their league lead in the Cape Breton High School Hockey League on Thursday.

Glace Bay defeated the Memorial Marauders 6-3 at Emera Centre Northside in North Sydney.

Cohen McNeil scored twice and added an assist while Hudson Clarke had a goal and two assists. Ty Oliver, Kyle Nearing and Pierce Hutchings also chipped in with goals for the Panthers.

Josh Reashore scored twice while Daniel Young added a goal for the Marauders.

Glace Bay’s Brandon Cole made 13 saves. Memorial’s Jack MacPhee stopped 31 of 37 shots.

High school action continues on Friday with Riverview hosting Memorial at 8 p.m. at the Cape Breton County Recreation Centre in Coxheath.
